Portrait and Figure Painting in watercolour 2 Day Workshop

Sunday 20th Jan and Sunday 3rd Feb 2013

(Full - WaitList Only)

Students will study directly from a live model. The course is aimed at students wanting to learn how to capture the likeness and personality of her subjects without laboring over all the details

The Workshop will cover the following:

  • Drawing techniques, preliminary sketches, and gestural studies.
  • Monochromatic tonal studies
  • Watercolour Techniques
  • Colour mixing in matching skin tones
  • Gestured brush strokes, soft and hard edges
  • Use of natural blends of warm and cool pigments
  • Composition and Incorporating backgrounds
  • Under painting, Over painting and adding finishing details

CAW Members $90 Non Members $110 (Per Day)

(Extra $15 to cover for the model fee)
